Same manufacturer, two ranges
CommScope sells more than one structured cabling brand. SYSTIMAX is the enterprise platform: GigaSPEED copper (including GigaSPEED XL and GigaSPEED X10D Category 6A), LazrSPEED and other fibre families, and imVision for automated infrastructure management. NETCONNECT is CommScope’s standard copper and fibre cabling line for everyday LAN builds.
They are not interchangeable part-for-part. A SYSTIMAX jack, cord, and cable are designed and warranted as a SYSTIMAX channel. A NETCONNECT channel is its own system. Mixing the two inside one permanent link can void the performance claim even if the plugs fit.
| SYSTIMAX | NETCONNECT | |
|---|---|---|
| Position | Premium enterprise platform | Standard structured cabling |
| Copper families | GigaSPEED XL, GigaSPEED X10D, and others | NETCONNECT Category 6 and 6A |
| Intelligent management | imVision is part of the platform | Not the imVision system |
| Typical project | Campuses, data centres, specified enterprise floors | Offices and standard LAN rollouts |
Which one to buy
Follow the specification if it names a brand. If the drawing says SYSTIMAX or GigaSPEED, quote SYSTIMAX. If it says NETCONNECT, quote NETCONNECT. If it only says “Category 6A U/UTP, LSZH”, either line can meet a generic standard, and the choice is then about warranty, installed base, and price.
Warranty length and coverage depend on CommScope’s current programme and on the link being installed and registered as that system. AmberWork Source can explain what applies to a given project; this page does not state a fixed warranty term.
AmberWork Source is a Singapore stockist for both lines, and the team is certified on CommScope imVision. Browse the copper and fibre catalogues, or send the bill of materials.
